Meet Your Midwife
Experienced private midwifery care in Perth — supporting homebirth and hospital birth with continuity, clinical skill and personalised care.
Care that is consistent, skilled and centred around you.
Hi, I’m Jess
I am an endorsed private practice midwife providing continuity of care for women across Perth.
I support women through pregnancy, birth and postpartum with a focus on safety, clinical awareness and personalised care.
Homebirth is a core part of my practice, and I also provide care for women choosing hospital birth who want the reassurance of a known midwife.
Qualifications & Scope of Practice
AHPRA Registered Endorsed Midwife
Medicare Eligible Provider
Prescriber
Hospital Admitting Rights
International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)
Care is provided within a regulated, evidence-based framework, with clear clinical governance and referral pathways.
Experience & Approach to Care
My approach to midwifery is grounded in both clinical experience and a deep respect for physiological birth.
I support homebirth with careful planning, ongoing assessment and clinical readiness.
At the same time, I recognise that birth journeys can change.
If hospital care becomes part of your experience, you are supported, informed and advocated for throughout.
Care is not rigid — it is responsive, considered and centred around your individual circumstances.
My Philosophy of Care
Birth works best when women feel safe, informed and supported.
Continuity of care plays a significant role in this — allowing trust to build, communication to remain clear, and care to be tailored.
I believe women benefit from:
✦ Being known by their care provider
✦ Receiving clear, evidence-based information
✦ Having time to ask questions and make decisions
✦ Being supported in their preferences for birth
This applies whether birth takes place at home or in hospital.
Why Choose Private Midwifery Care
In Perth, many women experience limited access to continuity models such as MGP programs, and may see multiple providers throughout pregnancy.
Private midwifery care offers an alternative.
You are supported by a known midwife — without relying on hospital program availability.
✦ Consistent care across pregnancy, birth and postpartum
✦ Familiar support during labour and birth
✦ Longer, more personalised appointments
✦ Clear communication and planning
✦ Integration with hospital services when needed
A Little About Me
From a young age, I was drawn to working with women, babies and families — observing, learning and supporting wherever I could.
I come from a family lineage of nurses and midwives who have cared for women across generations, and I am proud to continue this work within my own practice.
My experience has included supporting and educating women, babies and midwives both in Australia and internationally, including time spent working in Tanzania. This further strengthened my commitment to improving maternal and newborn care, and to providing care that is both clinically sound and deeply supportive.
Becoming a mother myself has also shaped my practice. It has given me a deeper understanding of the physical, emotional and practical realities of pregnancy, birth and postpartum — and the importance of having consistent, trusted support throughout.
My focus is to provide care that is experienced, evidence-based and centred around each woman — supporting both homebirth and hospital birth with continuity, clarity and clinical awareness.
