Breastfeeding Care

What is an IBCLC?

International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) are health professionals trained to international standards in supporting mothers and babies in their breastfeeding journey.

We have extensive knowledge of all areas related to lactation and are qualified to help with both simple and more challenging breastfeeding issues.

IBCLCs are not to be confused with Breastfeeding Counsellors, as we may offer similar services but counsellors do not have the same level of training or qualifications as a IBCLCs, nor are they certified by any governing body.

We are certified and trained to help you with the specific issues that may arise on your breastfeeding journey.

“Women that don’t receive this support will often feel frustrated and are likely to stop breastfeeding earlier than they had hoped. A lactation consultant can help women to overcome these difficulties, empowering them to breastfeed for as long as they want.”
